PTL's Past - A slowly advancing history
Over four years ago, Steven Wakeman created and maintained a fansite based on the classic game: "Jazz Jackrabbit 2". Among the sections of the site was one called "The Good News", which contained a lot of the material (resources for Christians) which is now hosted here. Steven had a friend, Lendl Meyer, who suggested that they make a website completely based on the sections Steven had written, and create it as a resource for non-Christians and Christians alike. As you probably guessed, the site was named Praise the Lord Ministries. Working toghether, they reformatted the original pages, making basic layout and style changes, and clarifying some of the text. It was a process that would require over a year of work, including three major changes in the interface. Finally, it was completed, and the result is what you see now.
PTL's Present - Our Goal, and Prayers
As we finished PTL Ministries, we finally saw the results of a year of work, and I think that it is safe to say that it was worth it. We are slowly working away at additional sections, but for now, PTL should do what we originally intended: Serve as a resource for sharing the basics of Christianity, as well as addressing deeper issues associated with our faith. We pray that God would bless this ministry to His glory.
PTL's Future - How we can further Serve
We don't have many plans laid out for the future. We'd like to write and post some more sections, dealing with other aspects of the Christian faith, and we want to continue maintaining what we already have, taking special care of the forums. All this depends on the will of God, for the builders work in vain, unless God builds the house.
Webmasters - The people who made and maintain this site
Currently, Praise the Lord Ministries only has two webmasters, its founders: Steven Wakeman and Lendl Meyer. Steven has written and edited most the material and done much of the scripting, whereas Lendl has done all the graffics and layout. Both are strongly committed to the Christian faith, and their desire to show how God has blessed them has resulted in their getting together and making this site.
