Hi, I'm Lendl, and I have a really big nose. It's even bigger than my dad's! I also do HTML and Graffical Webdesign, and enjoy the great outdoors.
What is your experience in web design?
I've been working with HTML for the past 3 years or so, yet I'll be the first to say that I've never been very good at it. The only site that is still running that I created by myself (with the exception of some compilcated scripting) is The Christian Home Educator's Support Group Website, or CHES. However, even that site has not yet been fully finished. Up untill about a year ago, I knew very little about web graffics, and couldn't make any of my own. However, I somehow found out about Jasc's Paint Shop Pro 7, which I eventually bought. Some then I've learned by trial and error, and I can finally make half decent graphics.Creating PTL was my first test in making all the graphics for a major webpage. It has also tested my HTML knowledge.
What part do you have in the family?
I'm the eldest of 6 children (3 brothers, 2 sisters). The ages of my siblings range from nearly 15 (myself) to just over 1 year (Talis). We've lived in many exotical overseas areas because of my dad's job. Due to the fact that we've been fairly isolated for most of our lives, we're all to become pretty close. My parrents are firm believers in Christianity, and it was under their influence that I became a christian and was baptized at a young age. They continue to encourage me in my spiritual walk. The same goes for my grandparents who are constantly sending me positive Christian material and encouraging me in the faith.
Where do you live?
I currently live in Canada, or to be more exact, I live in a town called Fort McMurray, in the province of Alberta. If you look for it on a map, You'll have to look way north. It's neat being this far North because of the interesting climate, and sunlight hours. We get 6 months of snow, and temperatures that drop way below 0 Degress Celsius, and in the summer we get the same teperatures as most of north america during the summer. Before Fort McMurray, We lived in Calgary, which was also in Alberta. We've also lived in: New Mexico (USA), California (USA), Brazil, and Indonesia. We've been able to visit, Australia, New Zealand, Itally, and other parts of the North American Continent.
What part did you have in the creation of PTL
Steven Wakeman created a website called Jazz 2 Stuff. On it was a Christianity section with articles that answered some of the diffecult questions of the Christian Reliegeon. It inspired me to create a website that would feature these artilcles, rather than have them in a small section. I asked him about it, and toghether, we worked on the site that you are now Viewing: Praise the Lord Ministries. Part of my goal in the idea was to fullfill my dream of making a worthwhile website someday. I still cannot think of anything more worthwhile than telling the good news of Jesus Christ. I've created all the graphics to for PTL, from the interface, to the logo, to the headings on the pages. I was also the one that came up with the color scheme, so you know who to complain to. =-)
What about your "Christianity"?
I firmly believe in one God the father almighty.
In His Son Jesus Christ, who became a man, lived on earth, and died on the cross and paid for all my sins. I believe in the Holy Spirit, the Holy Christian Church, the forgivness of sins, the resurection of the body, and eternal life after death. This website is a reflection of my faith and my urge to spread the good news to others.
How can I get in touch with you?
You can reach me either by email or ICQ #69768629. If it's on Icq, let me know why you are trying to reach me, otherwise, I may not authorize you. Your best bet is to email me first.
Anything else?
Being that we are very close to good cross-country skiing trails, most of my family (including myself) have taken up the sport. Last year I competed in about 10 different competions around the province. It's a great way to get excersise, and I really enjoy it. I'm also what you might call a racing addict. I love computer games in which you drive a car, or some vehicle around maddening tracks to get 1rst. I also do a lot of web design, and graffical work. I may start a web page develors buisness someday ;).
